SwiftPrism
How SwiftPrism reads an earnings filing
The headline leads the filing, in one line. Then Deep Insight™ quickly follows, highlighting what changed, what is confirmed, and what to watch. Information only, not advice.
- Adjusted EPS is the figure when the filing prints one. GAAP EPS is used only when there is no adjusted figure.
- Every earnings and revenue figure has a comparison: the estimate when the filing states one, otherwise the year before, otherwise the prior quarter.
- The headline says Rev. The comparison is written y/y or q/q on each figure. The estimate is used only when the filing states one.
- The outlook uses our words: Raises, Cuts, Affirms, Narrows, Widens, or Guides. The company's own verb does not win when the ranges differ.
- The next quarter and the full year outlooks both appear when the filing prints them.
- Per-share amounts keep the cents. A figure is not rounded.
